About Us

Owner, Nancy Rowe is a retired music teacher of 38 years.   Most of her career was spent in the Camden school system where she spent all of her free summers sailing the coast of Maine! She enjoys teaching others to sail and sharing the joy of sailing in beautiful Penobscot Bay. In the off season, Captain Nancy enjoys alpine skiing and serves as the Principal Timpanist for the Bangor Symphony Orchestra.  She has a USCG 100 GT license.

Nick Watts is a creator, craftsman, explorer, and licensed USCG 100-ton captain. Captain Nick’s sailing adventures have taken him from Fiji to Australia and eventually Ventura, California.  There he navigated the Channel Islands on his 30’ Catalina sloop while cultivating a love for underwater photography.  He came to Mid-Coast Maine as the first mate for the Schooner Ladona.  Having worked in fine dining around the world, Nick enjoys combining his love of cooking, ocean foraging and sailing!   He is excited this season to share his adventures as a Captain on Sagacious.
